Bio Silvia
Silvia is a dedicated Autism advocate, coach, consultant, and speaker with a wealth of personal and professional experience. As a mother of a young adult with Autism, she brings a deeply personal perspective to her work, enriching her insights and strategies for supporting individuals on the spectrum.
Experience: Over the years, she has shared her expertise at leadership programs, Miami Dade Town Hall, and on numerous TV and radio stations including Fox, CNN, and PBS. Her journey in the Autism community has been marked by her role as a Business Consultant for ROCA USA, GRAZIANOS, WHOLE FOODS, and others. She is also the founder and CEO of the KINDNESS IN SPECTRUM foundation and the MIAMI IS KIND bakery program, both initiatives aimed at creating employment opportunities for individuals with Autism.
Expertise: Her professional background is diverse and comprehensive, including 20+ years of leadership roles at DuPont where she honed skills in global business intelligence, crisis management, budgeting, sourcing, business strategy, team building, transformational leadership, and project management. She holds a Green Belt 6 Sigma certification and is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (APICS, 2009).
Authoritativeness: In addition to her consulting and coaching roles, she is an accomplished author. Her book, “From Struggle to Strength: A Memoir of Overcoming Crisis,” details how she has turned personal and familial challenges, including those related to her son’s Autism, into sources of strength and inspiration. She also served as a Board Member and Treasurer of PARENT TO PARENT OF MIAMI, supporting children and adults with disAbilities and their families from 2012 to 2017.
Trustworthiness: She holds a Master of Science in International Business from the Generalitat de Catalunya, Official Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona (1994), and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of SC School of Business & ICFE (1992).
